Here an Antique, Vintage Early 1900's, 8x10 Glass Photographic PLATE Holder for Large Format view cameras. Made by Eastman Kodak-- in the teens to 1920's. It is made of mostly wood and is for Glass Plates, not sheet film (unless you modify it), and thus it's a little thicker than the sheet film holders of the era. It is complete, and in Excellent condition---- it's has only very light wear and tear and is ready for more. The darkslides are not cracked and are clean and smooth---- move in and out very smoothly and easily--- snug, yet smooth. They are made of masonite or something like that and not plastic or metal. The wood has a few nicks, and scuffs and there is the roman numeral III scratched in at the top on both sides. Otherwise Very Clean! The end hinge-tape is nice and working well. It's a Real Nice One! (Keep in mind--- it is about 90+ years old, so I make no guarantees regarding it's perfect long-term performance--- as it's not modern or brand new.)
